How to get to Legoland Dubai

If you are visiting Dubai or you just don’t have access to a car then you may be wondering how to get to Legoland Dubai. The location of the theme park is somewhat outside of the periphery of Dubai in Dubai Parks & Resorts on the road to Abu Dhabi.

Legoland Dubai is not the only theme park at this location – there is also Legoland Waterpark, Motiongate Dubai, Bollywood Parks and Rivergate Dubai. The area where it is located is on the Sheikh Zayed Road beyond the furthest Metro station which means that in the past you would need to get a taxi to reach there, either from your departure point or else from the UAE Exchange Metro station which is at the end of the Red Line.

Legoland and the other theme parks in the area have become popular with both locals and visitors and the RTA has taken note of this and aimed to provide a service to reach the Parks more easily. So, from 17th April, the RTA have announced a new bus service which will take you to and from Legoland Dubai.

Bus to Legoland
The RTA has announced bus service DPR1 will take people from Ibn Battuta to Dubai Parks & Resorts

The new route is route number DPR1 and it departs from Ibn Battuta Metro station. The bus route will also go through The Gardens at Jebel Ali before heading to Dubai Parks & Resorts. Ibn Battuta is on the Red Line of the Metro, check out the map here to find your nearest station.

Once we get more information about the timings and the frequency of the buses we will report back with those.

Dubai Parks & Resorts do also offer their own shuttle bus services from various hotels and malls around Dubai. These run once or twice during the day so you will need to be at the specified departure point at the required time. They also leave the Resort at specified times so make sure you don’t miss the trip back!
