Which Buses Are Not Included in the One Day Pass?

We have had a couple of queries from people who have tried to use a one day pass on a bus that is not covered by the area for the one day pass. This only covers the main city area of Dubai. They have fairly asked which buses are not included in the one day pass on the Red Nol card – or indeed are not covered by the standard fares as advertised by the RTA.

Most buses are covered by the standard fares within the zones but there are some exceptions. We have tried to find out the information about which buses are not covered but it has proven tricky.

As we understand it, the buses that go to Miracle Garden and to Global Village are not covered by the one day pass and the ticket prices for these are (at the time of writing):

Mall of the Emirates to Miracle Garden – 5 dirhams

Dubai Miracle Garden is well worth a visit and you can take a bus from Mall of the Emirates to get there.

Rashidiya to Global Village – 10 dirhams

Union Bus Station to Global Village – 13 dirhams

Mall of the Emirates to Global Village – 10 dirhams

Al Ghubaiba Bus Station to Global Village – 10 dirhams

Al Nahda 1, Fatma Mohammad Masjid to Global Village – 10 dirhams

Seasonal buses in DubaiThe buses to Miracle Garden and Global village are numbered 102, 103, 104, 105, 106, 107 and are known as the seasonal bus routes.

In addition to these, the intercity bus routes are also charged separately from the city routes so you will have to pay the separate fares for those. For example, the bus to Abu Dhabi is 25 dirhams. You can use your Dubai Nol card to pay for the Dubai-Abu Dhabi bus (whichever way you are travelling as it is run by Dubai’s RTA so you can only use the Dubai based Nol card) – you can use either the gold or silver card but you need to have 25 dirhams credit to by the bus ticket.

You can find a full list of bus routes on the RTA website here.

If you want to check out how much it costs to travel between two points then you can use the RTA journey planner.
