The RTA has announced that there will be a partial closure of the Dubai Metro Red Line at weekends (Fridays and Saturdays) for 10 weeks. This will enable work to take place for the development of the Route 2020 Red Line extension.
The works will take place between the stations at Jumeirah Lake Towers and Ibn Battuta, between 28th July 2017 and 14th October 2017. The partial closures will involve those two stations plus Nakheel Harbour and Tower.
Because of the closure of the lines between 3 stations (as shown in the graphic above) there will be a replacement bus service to shuttle passengers between the stations. The plans are to have an efficient service to transport passengers between the stations by bus instead of the Metro. You can see how the shuttle bus service will work below:
